Checked out a new place called Voyeur in Gaslamp, SD. HELLA TIGHT! ...it's got a purple/goth motif inside. Apperantly it's designed by Kat Von D...from L.A./Miami Ink show. It was the soft opening last weekend...but I can already see the potential of the craziness this place is going to cause....

Although I love the occasional Korean Pop Music....it's getting super ridiculous now w/ the millions of boy/girl bands. Is it REALLY completely necessary to have a new pop group out every month. They all sound the same...all have the same tracks...all dress the same. Matter of fact...they are all probably from 1 of the 2 record pop companies in Korea (JPY or SM).

Here is a picture of THE largest boy band in the world...(they are missing 2 of their members). Their name is SUPER JUNIOR. hmmm no....FAIL.

Javalin 2??

Blackberry has announced their newest addition to the family, the Tour 9630. Seems like everytime you get a new blackberry...a month later they come out w/ a new one. =(

Anyways, the Tour 9630 is basically the Javalin (aka Curve 2 for T-Mobile), but w/ 3G connectivity, GPS/Blackberry Maps and better multimedia functions which go hand-in-hand with a clear, well-lit display and slimmer profile.

What's crazy is that i know/seen probably 80% of the people on that site. good or bad stuff...mostly bad...it's all pretty funny. Not exactly a king (yet)...since he didnt make it to the finals like everyone predicted. Lebron "King" James is bringing his basketball academy to UCSD this summer. (yea...UCSD..crazy huh). Now get your kids ready and sign up for this $600 program! Damn it's expensive to see him....

Whisknladle was featured as the 3rd "Best New Restaurant" in SD for 2009. All the ranking pretty true...except for the "Best Chinese Food." Guess which place got 1st place?....drum roll.... PF. Chang's!

Not trying to knock Chang's....but it's not real Chinese food. That's just to show you how bad Chinese food is in SD. I would even pick Dede's or Dumpling Inn over Chang's for Chinese food.

Picked up a N.E.R.D x H&M collabo shirt last weekend. I guess 25% of the profit goes to AIDS foundation. Okay let do the math now...$24 for shirt...$12 or $13 profit..so $4 will go to the foundation. So w/ 10,000 shirts sold (highly doubtful)...then it'll donate about $40,000. Which is probably enough for about 10 experiments to test that "new drug."

Good Food, Good People!

You might or might not know I've been working for almost 1 year and half @ a downtown La Jolla restaurant called "Whisknladle." Yesterday, I had my second server training session w/ Emilio (Thanks!). I must say "waiting" is difficult, yet easy job...

Easy b/c:
1. dont have to buss your table's plates
2. only have to deal w/ your 4 or 5 tables
3. you aren't really told what to do

Difficult b/c:
1. you have to deal w/ people and their ridiculous requests
2. you have to be on top of your food (how it's made..what's in it...etc.) and wines
3. having to deal w/ people AFTER I get off of my day job...aka 15 hour work days
4. your pay is sooo depend whether people (and i mean RICH people) are willing to give you that extra 1% on that check

Anyways, enough bitchin. Imma start my 3rd day of training w/ my boy Justin, hopefully it'll be a good one. I'll check back tomorrow w/ some new updates.

Graduation

Wow...am I getting that old? I feel like I just walked not too long ago. Now the class of 09'? Good luck to everyone that graduated this year and hopefully the job market turns around. I have a couple pictures of LT and I at the SDSU graduation for Hassan. To my surprise it's wayyy nicer than UCSD's graduation which I had to sit through 3 years ago. =( Then a day later we went to Chapman university graduation for Heba (LT's bff).
