You might or might not know I've been working for almost 1 year and half @ a downtown La Jolla restaurant called "Whisknladle." Yesterday, I had my second server training session w/ Emilio (Thanks!). I must say "waiting" is difficult, yet easy job...
Easy b/c:
1. dont have to buss your table's plates
2. only have to deal w/ your 4 or 5 tables
3. you aren't really told what to do
Difficult b/c:
1. you have to deal w/ people and their ridiculous requests
2. you have to be on top of your food (how it's made..what's in it...etc.) and wines
3. having to deal w/ people AFTER I get off of my day job...aka 15 hour work days
4. your pay is sooo depend whether people (and i mean RICH people) are willing to give you that extra 1% on that check
Anyways, enough bitchin. Imma start my 3rd day of training w/ my boy Justin, hopefully it'll be a good one. I'll check back tomorrow w/ some new updates.
